Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa (SEIFSA)

The Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa (SEIFSA) represents employers in the metals and engineering sector, lobbying for policies that benefit the industry and negotiating collective agreements on wages and employment conditions. Serving as a critical voice in various business and tri-partite forums, SEIFSA offers a range of services to its members, including advisory, training, and seminars. Founded in 1943, it includes 18 employers’ organizations across diverse sectors, dedicated to fostering a conducive business environment. Its efforts emphasize the importance of unity in advocating for the sector’s interests amidst evolving challenges.



The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) is a pivotal institution established to promote sustainable energy in West Africa. It was inaugurated in 2010 in Praia, Cabo Verde, under the auspices of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

ECREEE operates with the goal of creating a sustainable energy market in the ECOWAS region, aiming to reduce energy poverty and increase access to affordable and reliable energy services.The Centre’s efforts contribute significantly to the sustainable development of the ECOWAS region, offering services such as developing regional policy frameworks, mobilizing funding for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, and promoting capacity-building.


The Steel Tube Export Association of South Africa (STEASA)

was established to develop a sustainable, internationally competitive carbon steel and low alloy steel tube and pipe manufacturing industry which meets the broader national objectives of job and wealth creation through:

Effectively utilizing all resources available within the industry to promote sustainable export growth, promote bilateral trade for existing manufacturers and by facilitating entry and investment into new markets.

Co-operation with industry stakeholders in the elimination of non-tariff barriers and restraints to global competitiveness.

The International Trade Council

South African Electrotechnical Export Council (SAEEC)

The South African Electrotechnical Export Council (SAEEC) is a non-profit organisation, Public-Private Partnership between South African business and the Department of Trade and Industry. Our members are South African registered companies in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology. AIM: Facilitate the export growth for our members Act as a gateway for companies to identify South African suppliers and partners Coordinate the export marketing efforts of the sector Provide a link to Government Promote the South African Electrotechnical sector internationally




SAAEA represents and actively promotes Renewable Alternative Energy Solutions globally. Its focus is on all relevant technologies.
Wind, Solar, Biomas, Biogas, Bio Fuels, Green Products, Energy Saving, Alternative Energy, Energy from Waste, Fuel Cell Technologies etc.
We advocate policy development on behalf of our members at decision making government level. We also promote understanding of the industry and its potential through tools such as industry events, forums, conferences, newsletters and publications, our objective is to provide borderless access to the information that can affect today’s clean energy industries as much as tomorrow’s world.
Our members share the belief that lowering our carbon footprint is as important as the doing of business itself because we understand that every small endeavor toward a green, sustainable world makes a difference.
